Lighthouse Industries is pleased to announce the relaunch of its portfolio company ART, with a new look and an industry-first comprehensive Wind Resource As A Service (WRaaS) product. As Australia’s leading provider in the field, the WRaaS provides a turnkey solution allowing ART to take full responsibility for all measurement, maintenance and lifecycle activities for wind project developers.
ART remains at the forefront of Australia’s energy transition as the Wind Industry’s preferred campaign partner. ART’s solutions and services have matured to now offer a full turnkey solution, reducing the complexity of wind campaigns and improving the speed and reliability of delivering internationally compliant bankable wind data.
After 50 years as one of Australia’s leading national vertical infrastructure providers across the energy and communications sectors, Australian Radio Towers (ART) has evolved into Australia’s leading turnkey wind resource measurement partner. “To better reflect the next chapter for our business, we are relaunching with a simpler brand – one our industry knows and trusts - ART” said Mark Southby, ART Chief Executive Officer.
“Since ART joined Lighthouse Industries in 2023 we have listened to our clients’ needs and evolved our products and services for the long term across multiple price points and technologies. Our capability to deliver our innovative WRaaS offering is built on ART’s rich history in designing, delivering, and maintaining complex modular assets in the harshest environments across Australia.”
“The ability to offer our clients a lease or subscription based all-in-one solution for the supply, installation, maintenance, and end-of-life management of Met masts, wind systems, Sodars, and LiDARs is what sets us apart. It is a result of 12 months of development both internally and with a group of valued clients and we look forward to launching this turnkey offering to the wider market while continuing to support all our existing communications, resources, and energy clients,” Mr. Southby said.
Lighthouse Industries' Chief Technical Officer, Dr. Matt Bechly, emphasized the importance of reliable and bankable data for wind developers. Dr. Bechly, who holds a PhD in wind energy and has 30 years of experience in the global renewables sector—including senior leadership roles at DNV Renewables Advisory—was previously the CEO of ART and has played a key role in the evolution of the WRaaS product.
“The energy transition is now occurring at speed and scale, resulting in projects increasing in size, quantity, and complexity. Managing this growing complexity throughout wind campaigns is at the centre of what ART offers. Deep technical and field experience, national capability and resources for developer clients as a partner throughout the entire lifecycle,” said Dr. Bechly.
Lighthouse Industries' Chief Executive Officer, Richard Phillips, stated that the ART relaunch exemplifies the capability uplift provided by the Lighthouse platform. By coordinating, scaling and innovating essential energy infrastructure capabilities across Australia and New Zealand, Lighthouse and its portfolio companies are accelerating the energy transition.
“The new ART simplified and data-focused offering is the type of industry innovation that will help clients de-risk projects and accelerate their pipelines of projects. ART has long been and will continue to be the Australian wind industry’s first-choice wind resource measurement partner. This is another great example of ART making the complex simple for our customers” said Mr. Phillips.
