Lighthouse Industries is delighted to announce the successful acquisition of Flight Brothers Manufacturing Engineers (Flight) through its portfolio company, Australian Radio Towers Group (ART Group). Flight is one of Australia’s oldest and most reputed suppliers of communication towers, guyed masts, and on-rail hardware in additional industries.
Founded in 1915 by Sidney Flight as a family-owned tooling manufacturer, Flight remains a trusted partner for specialised engineering support services and structure supply to leading Australian and international radio and communication clients, and. Over its celebrated history, the business has been led by six generations of the Flight family, manufacturing a diverse range of products across multiple industrial sectors. The trusted Flight-branded product portfolio will continue to be designed, manufactured, and delivered from the existing production facility in Edwardstown, South Australia.
“This strategic acquisition expands ART Group’s tower production presence to South Australia, allowing us to better serve our national clients through additional production capacity and product range to meet significant market demand for vertical infrastructure in the renewables sector,” said ART Group Chief Executive Officer Mark Southby.
The acquisition of Flight aligns with Lighthouse Industries’ strategy to consolidate an Australian sovereign supply-chain capability to accelerate the large-scale rollout of renewable energy infrastructure, required for Australia’s transition to a brighter energy future.
